Electron Paramagentic Resonance at UEA
Hello and welcome to the new look website here at at the Henry Wellcome Unit for Biological EPR here at the Univeristy of East Anglia.
We are a group of chemists, biochemists and physicists whom work together to solve structural biological problems. Our main focus within the group is obviously Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy with an emphasis on distance measurements and local environments surrounding transition metals.
Our work currently involves the techniques:
- Pulsed ELectron Double Resonance (PELDOR)
- Electron Nuclear Double Resonance (ENDOR)
- Electron Spin Echo Envelope Modulation (ESEEM)
Together these techniques allow for structural determination of biomacromolecules and their complexes. We pay particular interest to membrane proteins and protein-protein complexes where other spectroscopic techniques lack.
This website remains constantly under development and will be updated as and when possible, so please check when you can.
