Scientific Programme
Names of the invited speakers are given below. Once the short talks have
been selected from the abstracts that were submitted at registration, they will also be
included in the final programme. Those attending the meeting with a poster are reminded
that there will also be several opportunities to present
results from posters.
There will also be a prize, decided by a small committee, given to the best poster.
This meeting will cover a broad range of EPR topics and an array
of distinguished colleagues have already agreed to participate
2009 Bruker lecturer:
Gunnar Jeschke (ETH Zürich, Switzerland): "Measuring the nanoworld"
Keynote Speakers:
Wayne Hubbell (UCLA, USA) "Functional protein dynamics from site-directed spin labelling"
Martin Kaupp (Universität Würzburg, Germany) "Quantum chemical calculations of EPR parameters as a tool to study metalloenzyme sites"
Richard Cammack (Kings College London, UK) "Biochemical targets for advanced EPR weaponry"
Fraser MacMillan (UEA Norwich, UK) "Correlating the structure and function of proteins using EPR"
Invited Speakers
currently include:
Marina Bennati (MPI Göttingen, Germany) "1H and 13C Dynamic nuclear polarisation with a two-field (0.35/14 T) shuttle spectrometer"
David Britt (UC Davis, USA) "Multifrequency pulsed EPR targeting metal cluster - ligand interactions"
Inés García-Rubio (ETH Zürich, Switzerland) "Probing the role of the proximal heme ligand in cytochrome P450cam by recombinant incorporation of selenocysteine"
David Keeble (Dundee, Scotland) "Doping of perovskite oxide functional material: local structure determination using electron magnetic resonance"
